Western National Insurance Group Named to the 2007 Ward's 50 Group of Property/Casualty Insurance Companies

Western National Insurance Group has been named to the 2007 Ward's 50 benchmark group of top performing property/casualty companies in the United States. This recognizes Western National for achieving outstanding financial results in the areas of safety, consistency and performance over a five-year period (2002 - 2006). This is the third consecutive year that the company has been named to this list of top performers.

The Ward Group, a management consulting firm specializing in the insurance industry, annually reviews the financial performance of over 2,700 Property/Casualty insurance companies, selecting the top 50 performers. This group of 50 companies is referred to as the "Ward's 50".

Western National Assurance Company writes personal lines in WA, OR, NV and UT, and commercial lines in WA and OR (maintaining an underwriting and claim office in Seattle). Farmers Home Mutual Insurance Company and Western Home Insurance Company currently write personal lines in MN, WA, NV and UT, while Pioneer Specialty Insurance Company is scheduled to begin writing select classes of commercial lines business beginning in the first quarter of 2008.
