Western National Mutual Insurance Company Names Paul A. Johnson to Board of Directors

(Minneapolis, Minn.) Western National Mutual Insurance Company today announced that Paul A. Johnson has joined its Board of Directors. The addition of Johnson expands Western National’s Board to nine members.

Johnson is the Vice President of Investor Relations at Xcel Energy. He has been with Xcel since 1983 in various capacities, including as a subsidiary Controller and Assistant Treasurer. His responsibilities have included credit rating activity, financial reporting, budget/forecasting, acquisitions/divestitures, and liaison with rating agencies. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Winona State and a MBA from the University of St. Thomas. He also holds certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Johnson has contributed to his community through years as a volunteer basketball coach, participation in Junior Achievement, and as a Board member of Park Square Theater.
