Western National Insurance Group Announces President & CEO Re-election as Director to Insurance Federation of Minnesota

Western National Insurance Group (WNIG), based in Edina, MN, today announced that its President and Chief Executive Officer, Stuart C. Henderson, JD, CPCU, has been re-elected for a three-year term as a Director on the Insurance Federation of Minnesota. He will also continue to serve on the Executive Committee of the Board.

WNIG's Vice President and General Counsel, Joseph Pingatore, JD, CPCU, will also serve the IFM community as an ex officio member of the Executive Committee, and in the role of Secretary/Treasurer.

The newly expanded Western National Insurance Group consists of five regional property and casualty insurance companies with direct written premium in excess of $240 million and total assets of $470 million. Western National Mutual Insurance Company is headquartered in Edina, Minnesota and writes personal and commercial lines in MN, WI, SD, ND and IA. Western National Assurance Company maintains offices in Seattle, Washington, and writes the same types of business in WA and OR. Farmers Home Mutual Insurance Company, Western Home Insurance Company and Pioneer Insurance Company are currently headquartered in Bloomington, MN and write personal lines in MN, WA, NV and UT. Established in 1914, the Insurance Federation of Minnesota (IFM) is a non-profit state insurance trade association representing approximately 75 insurance companies and several other related organizations. About 40 IFM members are either headquartered in Minnesota or have significant operations here. The IFM, based in St. Paul, represents companies with many different lines of insurance, including Life/Health, Property/Casualty, Reinsurance, Business Lines and Personal Lines. The membership also includes all types of companies: mutual, stock, and fraternal associations.
