Nick Lukson Joins Western National Insurance Group

Dear Agency Partner,

We are excited to welcome Nick Lukson to Western National as Vice President and General Manager in Seattle. Nick will be based in our Seattle office, reporting to Jeff Couchman and will be taking over for Steve Richards, who is set to retire later this year. In this role, Nick will oversee the day to day underwriting operations, including both underwriting and underwriting support with Commercial Lines Managers and the Commercial Lines Support Manager reporting to Nick.

Nick comes to Western National with over 20 years of property-and-casualty experience. Prior to joining Western National, he was the Underwriting and Marketing Manager for Griffin Underwriting Services. Before that, he held various management roles within Safeco Insurance, which was then Liberty Mutual Group. Nick earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Washington's Foster School of Business, in addition to having earned the CPCU, ARM, AIM, AAI, and AU designations. Nick and his wife, Kaelyn, have two daughters, Natalie and Carly.

We are very pleased to have hired a person of Nick’s caliber. He brings a tremendous amount of positive energy, technical ability, and a proven track record of building great relationships, with co-workers as well as agency partners. He will be a great addition to the team as we continue to build our Seattle office towards a very successful 2018 and beyond. Nick looks forward to introducing himself to you soon in his new role.
