Jeff Post Named VP – Agency Sales & New Business Development; Rich Dockendorf Named Director of Pioneer Specialty

We’re pleased to announce two leadership changes at Western National, both designed to strengthen our Sales and Underwriting collaboration to support continued growth across our group of companies.

Effective immediately, Jeff Post has been named Vice President – Agency Sales & New Business Development. In this new role, Jeff will be responsible for leading the Regional Agency Manager Team in our Central Region and for coordinating efforts with the Regional Agency Managers in our Western and Alaskan Regions. Jeff will continue to lead New Business Development in our Central Region. He is well suited for this dual role given his underwriting acumen and the strong relationships he has built with many of our agency partners.

Jeff joined Western National in 2015 after 11 years at QBE / General Casualty. Prior to QBE, Jeff worked at The St. Paul Companies, Atlantic Mutual Insurance Company, and Lumbermen’s Underwriting Alliance in both underwriting and claims roles. Most recently, he has worked as Vice President of Commercial Lines at Western National. In total, Jeff brings more than 25 years of management, technical underwriting, and marketing experience to his new position.

At the same time, we’re pleased to announce that Rich Dockendorf has been promoted to Director of Pioneer Specialty Insurance Company. In his new role, Rich will lead our Pioneer Specialty team and will coordinate Pioneer Specialty products and class strategy. He will also take on additional responsibility within Western National’s Commercial Lines Department, including maintaining relationships with select agencies outside of Pioneer Specialty.

Rich has been in the insurance industry for nearly 30 years, having joined Western National in 2015 after serving as Senior Underwriting Manager at QBE. He has most recently worked as a Commercial Lines Underwriting Manager at Western National.
