Upcoming Changes to Commercial Property, ISO Inland Marine, and Businessowners Policies Related to Cyber Incident Exclusion

Effective May 1, 2022, Western National will be adding the cyber incident exclusion to Commercial Property, ISO Inland Marine, and Businessowners policies. ISO has issued these exclusions to clarify that these policies on their own are not intended to provide cyber coverage. When these exclusions are added to a policy, they generally exclude direct physical loss of or damage to covered property resulting from a cyber incident. For additional information, please see the forms and policyholder notices linked below.

For ISO Inland Marine, click here to view the form. To view the policyholder notice, click here.

For Businessowners, click here to view the form for all states except South Dakota. To view the form for South Dakota, click here. To view the policyholder notice, click here.

Please note that these exclusions don’t alter the coverage provided by a Cyber Liability Insurance Endorsement if purchased on a General Liability policy or a Businessowners policy.

If you have any questions, please contact your Regional Agency Manager or your Commercial Lines Underwriter.

Thank you for your partnership with Western National.
