Reminder: The 2023 Western National Scholarship Application is Available Through April 12
As a reminder, the 2023 Western National Insurance Scholarship Program Application is available online with a deadline of Wednesday, April 12, 2023. The online scholarship application must be completed, and all supporting materials (i.e., academic transcripts and letters of recommendation) must be submitted by this date.
Online applications that are incomplete or submitted after April 12 will not be accepted.
Western National agency partners whose children meet the eligibility requirements outlined below are encouraged to have them apply for one of our $3,000 scholarship awards.
Eligibility for Children of Agency Partners
- Must be the legal child/stepchild of a current* Western National Insurance Group** partner producer, account executive/CSR, or other agency employee. For the child to qualify, the parent working in the agency should be a permanent employee averaging a minimum of 25 hours of work per week.
- Must not have received the Western National Insurance Scholarship more than once before. (Applicants can receive the scholarship a maximum of two times.)
- Must fit one of the following enrollment profiles:
- Current high school senior who will enroll full-time*** in an undergraduate program at an accredited two- or four-year college or university beginning in fall 2023.
- Current or prospective undergraduate student who is beginning or continuing full-time*** enrollment at an accredited two- or four-year college or university in fall 2023, and who is age 25 or younger as of September 1, 2023.
- Must provide a complete application; incomplete applications will not be considered.
* current as of both the application date and the award date
** includes Western National Mutual Insurance Company, Western National Assurance Company, and Umialik Insurance Company
*** full-time as defined by the college or university
