New Process: Mortgagee-Initiated Policy Change Requests - IA, IL, MN, ND, SD, and WI
Dear agency partner,
Effective May 1, 2026, Western National Insurance Group will no longer process policy change requests submitted directly by mortgagees. All such changes will now require policyholder authorization.
When a request is received from a mortgagee, we will notify the servicing agency of the impacted policy and request assistance in facilitating the update, consistent with the duties outlined in the Agency Agreement.
At that time, we ask that you:
- Contact the policyholder to confirm the accuracy of the mortgagee or financial institution information.
- Submit any necessary updates to ensure the policy remains current and accurate.
For personal lines policy changes, please continue to process updates in the system as you do today. If you have questions, please contact our Personal Lines Underwriting Team at plund@wnins.com.
For commercial lines policy changes, please send updates and / or questions to commercial@wnins.com.
