Western National Personal Lines Update

Last week, we announced examples of how we are supporting our policyholders through the economic impacts they may be experiencing as a result of the COVID -19 situation. We are pleased to work with our policyholders to avoid cancellation, extend payment options, and even refund a portion of their Personal Auto premium. Processing the premium relief transactions will take some time, but policyholders can expect to see a credit on their billing notice or a return check, if their policy is paid in full, within the next few weeks.

Important – Change in Down Payment Options on New Personal Lines Policies

Effective immediately, a down payment will be required in order to bind coverage. Down payments should equal the first installment of the payment plan selected and can be submitted via EFT, credit card, or agency sweep. Checks sent by mail will no longer be an acceptable payment method to bind coverage on new policies. Mortgagee billed homeowner and dwelling property policies are exempted from the down payment requirement.

If you have questions about this change, or concerns about a specific account, please contact your Personal Lines Underwriter.
