Western National Wildfire Moratorium – OR and WA

As you are aware, wildfires are affecting large areas of Washington state and Oregon. We are asking you to NOT BIND any coverage on locations that could be subject to damage from any wildfire. We ask that you please be aware of and monitor the status of fires burning in the geographical area in which you generally write business. Please carefully screen for the possible existence of wildfires for any risk that is not located in the geographical area where you normally write business. On these risks, specifically ask the client if there are wildfires within a 30-mile radius, and before binding, obtain underwriting approval from us.

This moratorium will stay in effect until we advise otherwise. For more information on locations currently being impacted, please click here.

Carefully screen the location of all new business in all areas of Washington and Oregon for the possibility of wildfires. If there is any doubt regarding a location, please call us prior to binding!
