Coming Soon: Updated Policy Number Formatting for Commercial Download

Based on feedback from agency partners like you, Western National is updating the formatting of policy numbers in commercial policy downloads. This update is effective at 6:00 a.m. CT tomorrow morning. Depending on what time your agency processes downloads, you will see the updated policy number formatting on Tuesday, November 19 or Wednesday, November 20 if you have download activity from Western National.

In order to match the formatting of policy numbers for commission download, we will be adding a space after the alphabetic characters and before the numeric characters in commercial download policies. This update will ensure commissions accurately tie to policies.

Please note, this change only applies to policies that have already been downloaded from Western National, and policies will not be updated until they are renewed or endorsed. New policies will automatically have the updated formatting.

Due to this update, you may see two versions of the policy in your Agency Management System when the policy is renewed or endorsed (i.e., one version with the space and one version without the space). The policy number with the space will be the policy updated by Western National downloads going forward.
