Western National Homeowner Program Updates and Enhancements, Eff. 1-1-2019

We are pleased to announce the following Homeowner program updates and enhancements will be available for new and renewal business, effective January 1, 2019.

NEW! Underground Service Line Coverage in Preferred Homeowner Program

We will be offering Underground Service Line Coverage for forms 3 and 5 in our Preferred Homeowner Program. This new optional coverage provides up to $10,000 for direct physical damage to underground service lines (primary locations only). NEW! Liability Coverage for Low Speed Motorized Bicycles

Due to the increasing popularity of motorized bicycles, we’re introducing a modification to liability coverage for low speed, low power vehicles. Previously, motorized bicycles were excluded from this optional liability coverage. With this change, liability coverage for low speed motorized vehicles, including bicycles, can be added to Western National’s Homeowner policies. Mopeds, golf carts, and/or motorized vehicles built to travel over 20 MPH continue to be excluded. Change to Scheduled Bicycle Coverage

The minimum deductible for scheduled bicycles is changing to $250. Policies that include a scheduled bicycle with a deductible below $250 will be adjusted to the minimum deductible at renewal. A notice outlining this change will be sent to you and the policyholder in advance of the renewal date.
