Umialik Insurance Announces Change to Document Print Policy Procedures
Umialik Insurance continues to find ways to simplify processes for our agents and policyholders, while implementing eco-friendly practices. As you may recall from a previous communication this year, we are changing our document print procedures based on agency feedback.
By streamlining this process there will now be just one version of the policy for both the insured and agent to refer to. This upcoming change will help reduce the potential for errors and omissions (E&O) as well as reduce confusion related to the number of policy copies shared between policyholders and agents.
As of January 10, 2021, we will no longer print the Agent copy for all Commercial Lines policy documents. Policyholder copies will continue to be printed and delivered. As a reminder, all policy documents can be found online by logging into AgentsOnline. We will continue to print and send auto ID cards, additional insured copies, and all billing documents. As a reminder, policyholders can access all their documents by logging into MyAccount.
This change represents efforts at Umialik Insurance to enhance the customer experience for our agents, and to move toward an eco-friendlier approach by reducing paper. This is the first step to future implementation of e-documents at Umialik.
