Update - Umialik Insurance Announces Change to Document Print Policy Procedures
As you may recall from an earlier communication this week, Umialik Insurance is changing our document print procedures, with just one version of the policy for the insured and the agent. This upcoming change is being implemented to reduce the potential for errors and omissions (E&O) as well as reduce confusion related to the number of policy copies between policyholders and agents.
This change will be effective January 24, 2021. In the coming weeks, we will provide resources and information to assist our agency partners and customers with this upcoming change.
Policyholder copies will continue to be printed and delivered. As a reminder, all policy documents can be found online by logging into AgentsOnline. We will continue to print and send auto ID cards, additional insured copies, and all billing documents. As a reminder, policyholders can access all their documents by logging into MyAccount.
This change represents efforts at Umialik Insurance to enhance the customer experience for our agents, and to move toward an eco-friendlier approach by reducing paper. This is the first step to future implementation of e-documents at Umialik.
