Update on Our 2020 Insurance Scholarship Application Criteria
As a reminder, our group’s 2020 Western National Insurance Scholarship program application is available online with an application deadline of April 15, 2020. The online scholarship application must be submitted, and all supporting materials (e.g., academic transcripts and letters of recommendation) postmarked via U.S. Mail, by this date. Online applications or supporting materials that are incomplete or submitted and postmarked after April 15 will not be accepted.
In recognition of the fact that many campuses are at currently closed in reaction to COVID-19, we have modified our 2020 Scholarship Application criteria as follows:
- Applicants may submit an Unofficial Transcript in lieu of an Official Transcript or signed Academic Certification Sheet (if they are unable to obtain either of the latter two).
- 2 Letters of Recommendation will be accepted without also requiring a completed and signed Letter of Recommendation Cover Sheet.
Umialik and Western National Insurance Group (WNIG) agency partners whose children meet the eligibility requirements outlined below are encouraged to have them apply for one of our $3,000 scholarship awards. Compared to many other scholarships, there’s a small group of eligible applicants, so the odds of selection could be relatively high.
Eligibility for Children of Agency Partners

In addition to the link above, you can access the scholarship application at any time by logging into AgentsOnline and clicking the “Scholarship” link under the “Other Resources” header.
We are glad for the opportunity to once again support the education of our hard-working and talented youth, and we look forward to helping ease the financial burden that college may put on our agency partners’ families.
