Last Chance to Apply: Our Group’s 2023 Scholarship Application Deadline is Next Wednesday, April 12

As a reminder, our Group’s 2023 Western National Insurance Scholarship program application is available online with an application deadline of Wednesday, April 12. The online scholarship application must be completed, and all supporting materials must be submitted by this date. Online applications or supporting materials that are incomplete or submitted after April 12 will not be accepted.Online applications that are incomplete or submitted after April 12 will not be accepted.

Umialik agency partners whose children meet the eligibility requirements outlined below are encouraged to have them apply for one of our $3,000 scholarship awards.

Eligibility for Children of Agency Partners

• Must be legal child/stepchild of a current* Western National Insurance Group** producer, account executive/CSR, or other agency employee. For the child to qualify, the parent working in the agency should be a permanent employee averaging a minimum of 25 hours of work per week.
• Must not have received the Western National Insurance Scholarship more than once before. (Applicants can receive the scholarship a maximum of two times).
• Must fit one of the following enrollment profiles:
• Current high school senior who will enroll full-time*** in an undergraduate program at an accredited two- or four-year college or university beginning in fall 2023.
• Current or prospective undergraduate student who is beginning or continuing full-time*** enrollment at an accredited two- or four-year college or university in fall 2023, and who is age 25 or younger as of September 1, 2023.
• Must provide a complete application; incomplete applications will not be considered.

* current as of both the application date and the award date.
** includes Umialik Insurance Company, Western National Mutual Insurance Company, and Western National Assurance Company
*** full-time as defined by the college or university
