Upcoming Changes to General Liability Related to Communicable Disease Exclusions
Effective August 1, 2021, Umialik Insurance will be adding communicable disease exclusions to commercial general liability, businessowners liability, and commercial umbrella policies on health care facilities, residential care facilities and public gathering places such as schools, churches, and fitness centers. This action is largely driven by the reinsurance market and will affect a very small percentage of our commercial policies.
