Umialik Insurance Company Announces New Premium Audit Department
Umialik Insurance Company is proud to launch our new Premium Audit Department. This change in our premium audit process is a direct result of feedback from you, our agency partners. The Umialik team has been working hard to bring this process in-house to offer a much-improved customer experience.
We are pleased to introduce our new, in-house premium audit team, Joe Bicchinella and Mia Jursevskis.
Joe Bicchinella (Bic – a – nella) is a long time Alaskan of 34 years. He’s explored from Ketchikan to Prudhoe Bay. Like most Alaskans, he enjoys RV camping, hunting, fishing, boating and exploring.
He is very excited to join the Umialik Insurance family in the new Premium Audit Department and looks forward to helping with your premium auditing needs. Joe has 18+ years of experience auditing workman’s compensation and general liability throughout Alaska, from small businesses to large corporations. Joe is eager to help you organize your data, plan for your audits and answer your questions.
Mia Jursevskis (Jur – sev – kis) began her career in the insurance industry in 2009 as a customer service representative at Horace Mann Agency. Since moving back to Alaska from Hawaii in 2009, Mia admits to struggling with Alaska winters! She loves Alaska summers and enjoys spending most of her free time outdoors with her son.
Mia joined Umialik in April of 2018 as an Audit Associate. She is thrilled to be working on our new Premium Audit team in order to continue assisting you and your customers.
In the coming month, you can expect to hear regularly from our team regarding timeline, new procedures and other useful information as it relates to this change in our premium audit process.
