Umialik’s Parent Group Named to 2023 Ward's Top 50

We are pleased to announce that Umialik’s parent group, Western National Insurance Group, has once again been named to the Ward’s 50 Benchmark Group of top performing U.S. property-and-casualty companies. Being named to this group recognizes Western National Insurance Group for achieving outstanding financial results in the areas of safety, consistency, and performance over a five-year period (2018 – 2022). This is the 18th time in the past 19 years (and the 15th consecutive year) that our Group has been named to this list of top performers.

This recognition highlights not only solid business planning, but also the hard work of our employees and partner agents, whose production and service efforts have positively impacted our ability to achieve and maintain high levels of financial strength and stability. These attributes are so important because they not only provide improved security for our policyholders, but they also grant us the opportunity to invest in our people and our business to better serve our customers. We look forward to building on our strong financial resources for the continued security of our mutual policyholders in the years to come.

The restriction will remain in effect for 30 days. If there is an earthquake event of 5.0 or greater in this same geographical area within the next 30 days, the 30-day period will reset.
