On Thursday, October 20, a group of Western National employees enjoyed a fun filled afternoon of bowling, good food, and great company. A special thank you to our Social Committee for hosting the return of this great event.

This fall, Western National employees have participated in a wide variety of volunteer events. With events ranging from packing hygiene kits with Catholic Charities and making sandwiches with 363 Development Food Program to building dressers with Bridging and sorting and distributing donations with North Helpline, we are grateful to our employees for taking time to give back to the communities in which we live and work.

Thirty Western National employees recently completed first aid, CPR, and AED training at our Edina office. Most participants are new members of our first responders team at the office. We’re excited to have an expanded team to help keep our employees and visitors safe.

In October, a group of Western National employees participated in the Twin Cities Hot Cider Hustle Half Marathon and 5K. Despite being a chilly fall morning, the group enjoyed taking in sights of fall foliage, making memories with co-workers, and partaking in the apple treats at the finish line. If you are looking for a fun activity for your team, we highly recommend participating in a run/walk event!

In the spirit of our Core Value of Connectiveness, we recently had the opportunity to welcome both our full Sales Team and our Loss Control Team to our home office in Edina.

In September, our extended Sales Team had the opportunity attend a Twins game to celebrate the successful completion of our annual Sales Conference. The team enjoyed an evening filled with good food, great company, and an impressive win over the Kansas City Royals. On the rare occasion this extended team is in town, we are always grateful for the opportunity to connect, pause, and celebrate all their accomplishments.

In October, we welcomed Loss Control Consultants from Michigan Millers, Western National, and Umialik to our Edina headquarters for our Annual Loss Control Conference. The team had fun learning with each other and connecting with the full team during the event.
