Customer Experience
Congratulations to Brad Knott, Western National’s 2020 Customer Experience Person of the Year

At our Group’s Annual Meeting in March (held in Edina, Minn.), we recognized Brad Knott with this year's Customer Experience Person of the Year Award. Brad is a Senior Underwriter in our Commercial Lines Department. Throughout his career, he has been recognized by agents for providing an exceptional customer experience. He was also the recipient of the 2018 President’s Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) Scholarship. In 2019, Brad managed 826 policies and grew his book by 16%. He did all of this while consistently providing excellent service. A video congratulating and recognizing Brad for the award is available below.

Western National employees are nominated for the Customer Experience Person of the Year award largely based on feedback we receive from employees and agency partners. If you’ve had a great experience with a Western National employee, we encourage you to email us at customerexperience@wnins.com.

How Western National Is Providing A Good Customer Experience During the COVID-19 Pandemic

1. We continue to fulfill our promises to our customers and agency partners. While the country’s focus is primarily on the COVID-19 pandemic - fires, auto accidents, and other losses are still occurring, and we have a duty to protect our policyholders. Our staff remain dedicated to serving you throughout these unprecedented and challenging times. With the benefit of preparation, our staff is properly equipped to work remotely as needed. As a result, we expect uninterrupted access to the people, systems, and services on which you and your clients rely from Western National.

2. We extend support to our community. The crisis surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic has put an even greater demand on the services and resources that charitable organizations and non-profits provide. To support the ongoing efforts of our charitable partners in this unprecedented time of need, we are reaffirming our philanthropic commitments by accelerating the distribution of our annual charitable dollars to help local organizations meet the community’s needs.

3. We remain committed to our employees. The safety and physical wellbeing of our employees and their families is very important to us. With most of us working from home, we have looked for ways to stay connected and maintain relationships with our Western National co-workers. One way we are staying connected is through a group page on our company intranet where employees can post fun photos, tell stories, share advice, or suggest ways to stay happy and healthy while working remotely. And, even though we cannot see our co-workers in person, we have been able to have some fun over video calls. Check out this short video of Western National employees giving each other virtual high fives!
