We are pleased to announce that Loren Klassen, our Chief Information Officer, was a finalist for the 2021 Twin Cities CIO of the Year ORBIE® Awards. The ORBIE Awards® recognize Chief Information Officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership. We are proud of Loren for representing Western National and showcasing the ways in which the IT Department has been innovating in the technology sphere.

Feed My Starving Children
Western National volunteers have been supporting the humanitarian organization Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) in their efforts to reduce global food insecurity since 2008. Their approach is simple: volunteers hand pack meals specially formulated for malnourished children and send them to partners around the world where they're used at orphanages, schools, clinics, and feeding programs to break the cycle of poverty. On Tuesday, October 26, Western National volunteers packed 31 boxes, which equals 6,696 meals, at Feed My Starving Children.
Bridging – Dresser Build
Western National once again teamed up with the local non-profit Bridging for a dresser build volunteer opportunity on Thursday, October 28. Western National employees spent an afternoon building 15 dressers, which are donated to individuals and families transitioning to stable housing after experiencing homelessness.
