Trainee Program Open House

This spring, we welcomed candidates for our Claims Trainee Program to our Edina office for an open house event. The candidates met with our employees and learned more about Western National, our Claims Trainee Program, and the many opportunities that the insurance industry has to offer. We enjoyed meeting with all the bright talent looking to get a start in our industry and we can’t wait to welcome our class of Trainees in the coming months.

Our Trainee Program offers recent college graduates, individuals who are just entering the workforce, or candidates looking to start a new career the opportunity to learn and develop skills important to starting a career in the insurance industry. Our program helps develop candidates into subject matter experts and valuable contributors to our team. Successful candidates frequently receive permanent placement opportunities to continue to learn and grow at Western National in claims and underwriting roles.

Minnesota Wild vs. Seattle Kraken Game Recap

A group of our Edina employees came out to the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul to cheer on the Minnesota Wild as they took on the Seattle Kraken in a thrilling evening matchup in April. Despite the Kraken coming out with the win, the group still enjoyed watching the game and the opportunity to connect with and spend time with co-workers outside of the office.

ASAP Event Recap

We were pleased to welcome a group of 16 producers to our Edina office in April for the Western National Advanced Sales Academy for Producers (ASAP) seminar. The group spent a week focusing on building critical success skills to help them sustain a high level of professionalism and longevity in the insurance industry. Thank you to everyone who attended the seminar.

Get in Gear Recap

We enjoyed getting out of the office and getting in gear at the annual Get in Gear run! In April, a group of our employees ran / walked at the Twin Cities in Motion Get in Gear event. The event offered three distances: a 5K (3.1 miles), a 10K (6.2 miles), and a half marathon (13.1 miles). We had employees take part in all three distances, and a sweaty, but great time was had by all!

Veterans Career Fair (May 1)

In May, we had the opportunity to participate in the Minnesota Veterans Career Fair, where we had the chance to connect with talented Veterans, service members, and their families and to share what benefits a career with Western National has to offer. We’re thankful for this opportunity to support the careers of those who have served our country.
