This Fall, we continued our support of VEAP (Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People) with the donation of a 2019 11-passenger van. This van will mainly be used to transport community members to and from VEAP’s Food Pantry to make it even easier to access healthy food.
Our Regional Agency Managers from across the country gathered at our Edina, Minnesota office in October for our Annual Fall
Sales Conference. At the conference, they honed their sales skills and planned for 2020.
In October, a group of Western National volunteers headed to The Food Group in New Hope, Minnesota to sort and pack food. Overall, they boxed and bagged 7,980 pounds of food which will provide 6,650 meals to those who are in need. Everyone worked hard and felt good about their efforts in the fight to end hunger!
A group of Western National employees took time to volunteer at North Helpline food bank in Seattle, Washington. It was a full day of sorting donations and distributing food. Employees especially enjoyed talking with the guests as they came though the distribution line and getting to know the North Helpline staff!
To celebrate autumn, Western National’s Social Committee planned a week full of festivities at our Minnesota office. Events of the week included candy guessing jars, pumpkin decorating, treats, and a chili lunch. Employees at our Seattle office also enjoyed the fall festivities with a Halloween costume contest! It was a lot of fun!
