Western National Insurance Group Presented with the "Company Award of Excellence" for 2007 by the Minnesota Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers
Today, at the 2007 Annual Convention held in Plymouth, MN, the Minnesota Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers (MIIAB) announced that their membership had chosen Western National as the recipient of its annual "Company Award of Excellence."
Upon receiving the Award, company president and chief executive officer, Stuart C. Henderson, JD, CPCU, stated "We have dedicated ourselves to the independent agency system as our sole method of distribution, based on the belief that a policyholder is best served in making decisions about such a complicated financial product only with the advice and counsel of a knowledgeable and ethical insurance professional. This award is seen by us as a measure of success in our efforts to build strong relationships with our partner agents, and to thereby serve our policyholders."
Western National Insurance Group consists of five regional Property and Casualty Insurance companies with shared administrative offices in Edina, Minnesota. Western National Mutual Insurance Company writes personal and commercial lines in MN, WI, SD, ND and IA; Western National Assurance Company writes personal and commercial lines in WA and OR (and maintains an underwriting and claim office in Seattle); and Farmers Home Mutual Insurance Company, Western Home Insurance Company and Pioneer Insurance Company write personal lines in MN, WA, NV and UT. As of 12/31/06, the Group wrote $248 million in premium on $190.6 million of Surplus and $493.9 million of Assets.
The MIIAB is a professional trade organization made up of 4,200 independent insurance agents throughout the State of Minnesota. MIIAB provides numerous valuable products and services for its member agents.
