Western National Announces New Senior Surety Officer
(Minneapolis, Minn.) Western National Insurance Group (WNIG) of Edina, Minn., today announced that Larry A. Byers will be joining the Company as Senior Vice President – Surety, effective immediately.
Mr. Byers has over 30 years of surety experience, including underwriting roles at Safeco Insurance Company and Reliance United Pacific, and most recently as Senior Vice President at Contractors Bonding & Insurance Company. A graduate of The University of Washington (B.A. and MBA), he has also attained the industry designations of CPCU, ARM, AFSB, and ASLI.
“The addition of such a talented individual as Larry will give added punch to an already strong and growing Surety operation,” said Stuart Henderson, president and chief executive officer of Western National. “The traction we are seeing in both contract and commercial surety lines will be accelerated under Larry’s leadership.”
