Western National Insurance Group Introduces Employment Practices Liability Coverage
Western National Insurance Group today announced it is adding Employment Practices Liability (EPL) coverage to eligible commercial policies, making it easier and affordable for employers to protect themselves against these increasingly prevalent claims.
“For many years, Employment Practices Liability coverage has been a higher-priced option available only to larger businesses,” said David Eide, executive vice president of marketing and underwriting operations. “Today, with statistics showing that more than half of discrimination, sexual harassment, and wrongful termination claims are brought against smaller firms, EPL coverage is a practical necessity for nearly every business. This new EPL offering from Western National provides broad coverage and is specially priced to meet the needs of our smaller commercial policyholders.”
The EPL program, which is effective for new and renewal business on July 1, 2009, includes flexible coverage options with liability limits starting at $100,000. The program also provides a variety of online loss control resources, expert EPL claim specialists, and access to experienced employment liability attorneys.
