Updates to the Western National Insurance Group Officer Team
(Minneapolis, Minn.) Western National Insurance Group today announced the hiring of Jessica Archuleta as Assistant Vice President – Actuarial Services and the promotion of Julia Jenson to Vice President – Communications & Business Transformation, both effective immediately.
Jessica Archuleta joins the company as Assistant Vice President – Actuarial Services. In her role at Western National, Jessica will be leading the actuarial services function by supporting and contributing to the company’s strategic goals, and she will leverage her actuarial expertise across multiple functions of the organization, including pricing, reserving, reinsurance, and data science.
Jessica comes to Western National with over 20 years of insurance industry experience. Prior to joining Western National, Jessica led the actuarial and data analytics function at Fortegra, an international specialty insurance company headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla. Prior to that, she held various roles in underwriting, product management, and actuarial ratemaking and reserving. Jessica is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. She holds undergraduate degrees in mathematics and economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Julia Jenson has been promoted to Vice President – Communications & Business Transformation. In her new role, Julia will continue to oversee the Group’s communications function while also spearheading the continued development of our business transformation function. Julia will help develop a framework that will be utilized for critical projects and types of change that will impact the organization now and in the future.
Julia joined Western National in 2019 following 13 years in communications and marketing leadership roles at Catholic Charities Twin Cities and Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. During her time at Western National, she has helped shape and implement the Group’s communications strategy while making lasting impacts in key areas, such as communication quality, team engagement, brand awareness, and reputation management. Julia holds degrees from Concordia College of Moorhead (B.A.) and Hamline University (M.F.A.) as well as the Associate in Insurance designation from The Institutes.
