2020 Toys for Tots Events and Holiday Drive-Thru Celebration

This past December, we celebrated the holiday season a bit differently with a socially distanced Holiday Drive-Thru Celebration for employees and a Toys 4 Tots donation drive. Each of our offices (Anchorage, Edina, and Seattle) hosted their own drive-thru event, during which treats and a small gift were handed out to employees. Each office was able to support their local Toys for Tots program with toy donations generously provided by employees and local businesses. Western National Insurance has supported Toys for Tots for many years, and we were proud to continue this tradition of giving.

Western National’s 2021 Annual Meeting

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for the virtual 2021 Western National Insurance Group Annual Meeting held on
March 2. During the virtual event, we shared company updates, 2020 year-end results, and our 2021 company roadmap. We also announced our 2021 agency award winners and recognized our 2021 Circle of Excellence agencies.

The Western National Circle of Excellence recognition is announced annually to spotlight an elite group of partners who have excelled based on performance and growth over the past five years (2016 - 2020). An agency must also demonstrate that they meet high standards of professional excellence and integrity in order to be considered for this recognition. Congratulations to 2021 Circle of Excellence agencies and award recipients!

Bedrace for Bridging

We are happy to have been a Silver Sponsor once again for this year’s annual Bedrace for Bridging community event, and we appreciate the donations made by our employees. While this year’s race was virtual, participants still showed lots of enthusiasm and had a great time. A big congratulations to our employees whose video submissions won first and second place at the Virtual Bedrace Award Ceremony! You can click here to check out the winning videos.

Bridging, a nonprofit organization primarily serving the Twin Cities, Minnesota, offers hope for families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty by providing basic home essentials.

Western Wellbeing – Caring for the Health and Wellness of Our Employees

Western Wellbeing is an employee wellness program that was created to support employees in their health and empower them with the right tools and resources to help promote positive lifestyle change. Through Western Wellbeing, employees are provided with tips for nutrition, resiliency inspiration, safety and health resources, and more. Though most of our employees are still working remotely, their health and wellbeing remain top of mind for us. This year, Western Wellbeing has already offered a few virtual events. In March, employees were able to partake in a live-streamed, no-stress virtual cooking demonstration, as well as a webinar on everyday resiliency. Most recently, we partnered with E3 Fit to bring live, virtual fitness classes to our employees.
